About the opportunity
Reporting to the Client Reporting and Data Analytics Manager, the position is based in our Edinburgh office as part of an excited growth phase. The successful candidate will help implement a new data platform, shape the role and develop data capabilities as their career grows. Ideal for recent graduates or experienced professionals with up to three years of experience. Strong skills in data visualisation and proficiency in Power BI are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the business and stakeholders with data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualisation.
* Lead the building and maintenance of dashboards and reporting outputs, providing data‑driven insights.
* Gather and process financial and operational data from internal and external sources.
* Drive and automate data reporting, streamlining workflows.
* Perform regular and ad‑hoc data analysis to support projects and processes.
* Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data used for analysis and reporting outputs.
* Aid in the production of client reporting outputs.
* Support wider team objectives and needs during peak periods.
* Aid in the delivery and implementation of a new data platform solution.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
* Up to three years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within the financial services or private markets sector.
* Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualisation tools; strong knowledge of SQL and Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
* Highly motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work with large datasets.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present data clearly and concisely.
* Ability to interact, build relationships with a wide range of people and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment; keen to take responsibility.
