To support this mission, we’re looking for a Sales Manager to drive our next phase of commercial growth. This is a player-coach leadership role, combining hands-on selling with building and leading a high-performing sales function.
You’ll play a critical role in scaling our revenue, continuously improving our go-to-market strategy, and mentoring a growing team of sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Driving revenue
* Personally lead new business development and strategic sales opportunities
* Own the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting through to closing
* Generate pipeline through outreach, networking, partnerships and events
* Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations and proposals
* Build relationships with HR Directors, Finance Directors, IFAs and Employee Benefits consultants
Leading the sales function
* Manage and develop a growing sales team, providing coaching and performance leadership
* Set and manage sales targets, KPIs and pipeline discipline
* Create scalable sales processes and playbooks
* Work closely with marketing and leadership to refine go-to-market strategy
* Leverage your existing network to accelerate growth and open strategic opportunities
* Represent Thrive at industry events, conferences and client meetings
* Provide market insights to leadership and product teams to support product development
Player-coach expectation
* This role is designed as a hands-on leadership position, with approximately 60% of time spent actively selling and leading deals.
Experience Required
* Minimum 5 years experience managing or leading a sales team
* Proven success in B2B sales leadership within SaaS, fintech, pensions, or employee benefits
* A strong player-coach mindset, comfortable leading from the front
* Demonstrable success building pipelines and consistently closing deals
* Existing network of either SME HR Directors / Finance Directors, or IFAs and Employee Benefits Consultants
* Experience selling to HR, People, Finance or C-suite stakeholders
* Strong commercial and strategic thinking
* Ability to build and scale a high performance sales culture
* Experience within financial wellbeing, pensions, employee benefits or HR technology would be highly advantageous.

* Competitive base salary of £80,000 – £100,000 depending on experience
