Art Teacher - Secondary School (Southend-on-Sea) Start Date: September 2026 Full-time | Temporary or Permanent
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, creative, and dedicated Art Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Southend-on-Sea from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking department committed to high standards of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable), fostering a love of art and creativity in all learners.
About the Role · Deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons that inspire creativity and expression · Plan and teach engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) · Support students in developing practical skills and critical thinking · Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities · Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback · Participate fully in the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent · A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject · Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts · The ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities · Excellent classroom management and organisational skills · A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
