This rapidly expanding IT services company in West Kent is seeking a dedicated and versatile 1st - 2nd line support engineer to join their customer-focused IT support team.
IT Support Engineer – the role:
This is a busy and very friendly & collaborative team. You’ll be operating in a service desk environment, with the role combining (mostly) escalated helpdesk support with some on-site duties at their clients. Customers are typically SMEs, with a few corporates, based Kent, East Sussex, Surrey, and SE London.
IT Support Engineer – the person:
Of prime importance, is a great personality – a real ‘people person’, with great client skills, a positive outlook; someone who enjoys both solving client issues and supporting junior members of staff. This is the company culture and the ‘fit’ is critical.
The client would ideally like someone with IT MSP (IT managed services) experience but will be flexible for the right person.
Ideally candidates should be able to drive.
IT Support Engineer – your Technical skills:
Your strong technical support skills, should cover as much as possible of the below:
- Windows 10, 11, Mac o/s
- Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, backup systems, printing
- MS 365, Exchange online and SharePoint, Intune, Azure
- Mobile device management – Windows, IoS, Android
- VoIP
- Any networking knowledge very useful: LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, switches, firewalls, routers, WiFi.
