The position is based near Blackburn, England.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of aerospace components.
* Assist in the assembly and fitting of aerospace components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Carry out routine inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Work closely with skilled fitters and engineers to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
* Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* Report any issues or defects identified during the fitting process to supervisors or quality control.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Person Specification
* Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on‑the‑job training.
* Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job.
