Job Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead product strategy and evolution for our AI‑powered Redaction and Digital Evidence Management platforms. The role is home based but requires travel to NEC offices in Chippenham, London and Hemel Hempstead, as well as customer sites when required. The Product Manager will define, develop and deliver high‑quality software products that meet customer needs and drive business value, combining customer insight, commercial awareness and technical understanding to shape product strategy, manage roadmaps and deliver unique, compelling enhancements.
Only candidates who have lived in the UK for five consecutive years or more will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Product Strategy & Roadmap
o Define and maintain product strategy aligned to pillar and organisational objectives.
o Develop, own and communicate the product roadmap and standard collateral to ensure consistent messaging across customer‑facing teams.
o Ensure alignment between customer needs, market trends and technical capabilities.
o Contribute to wider portfolio strategy and planning.
* Product Delivery & Execution
o Translate strategy into well‑defined, commercially sound product backlogs and requirements.
o Maximise revenue opportunities through modular offerings and upsell of additional capabilities.
o Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the Public Safety marketing team.
o Work closely with engineering to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
o Prioritise features based on value, risk and opportunity.
o Track delivery progress and ensure milestone alignment.
o Support successful product launches and releases.
o Manage the product lifecycle and communicate it regularly to the company and customers.
* Customer Insight & Engagement
o Engage regularly with customers to understand needs, challenges and behaviours.
o Gather and analyse usage data and market trends.
o Translate insights into product improvements and innovation opportunities.
o Support and participate in user groups, customer workshops/masterclasses and early engagement with sales opportunities.
* Product Innovation & Continuous Improvement
o Research competitors, market trends and update product strategy for best commercial outcome.
o Identify and develop product enhancement opportunities to grow revenue.
o Explore and incorporate emerging technologies, including AI where relevant.
o Develop business cases using structured approaches and present proposals to governance forums.
* Stakeholder Management
o Build relationships with NECSWS colleagues to ensure integration at process and technology levels.
* Product Performance & Reporting
o Monitor performance using defined KPIs.
o Contribute to monthly reporting on roadmap progress, customer engagement, product health and risks.
o Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date product documentation and collateral.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in a business or technical discipline.
* Proven track record in product management within technology industries.
* Desirable experience in the Public Safety sector with proven ability to deliver technical solutions.
* Ability to engage customers, technical people, partners and colleagues fully in the product strategy and delivery.
* World‑class product insight and ideas that inform direction and prioritisation.
* Commercially savvy and able to conduct accurate ROI calculations to drive profitable growth.
* Excellent research skills to inform product strategies.
* Decision maker who can make tough decisions in the best interests of the product, market, customer and company.
