What you'll be doing
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
1. Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed care plan in collaboration with the patient, following instructions and training received, while promoting safe patient care.
2. Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
3. Assist with medication checks, help/run clinics, and support first response procedures.

Qualifications and skills required include:
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and literacy
* Ability to work in a busy environment
* Ability to work independently following policies and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in hospital, community, or prison environments. Working in secure environments is challenging but rewarding. The site currently offers 37.5 hours per week, with shifts including 3 long days: 0645-1815 and 0745-1815 (weekends and bank holidays), with one shift ending at 2015. One in three weekends is required. The annual salary ranges from £24,669 to £28,690, depending on experience.
