An exciting and varied opportunity has arisen for the position of a Full-Time Estate & Projects Manager to join our enthusiastic team based in Somerset.
Our Business
We are a family-owned business situated six miles south-west of Yeovil. This role will manage around 1,100 acres, which includes a mix of residential and agricultural properties. The estate also includes a dairy operation consisting of over 2000 milking cows, an Arable operation, and an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant, along with some roof-mounted solar power that produces all the farm's electricity needs.

Your Role
Working closely with the business owner, you will plan and execute a management plan for all the estate's maintenance, property and construction operations. Also overseeing ongoing projects. Roles and responsibilities will include;
* Managing the estate team, including the maintenance team, property team, renewables and related teams.
* Help with the implementation of new innovations in all areas of the business, including reducing environmental impacts and improving productivity.
* Supporting the team with daily estate duties alongside the coordination and management of the estate
* Working closely with the business owner to develop and implement estate plans, budgets and targets.
* Oversee maintenance of the estate's infrastructure, managing procurement levels and conducting regular inspections
* Full responsibility for the management and upkeep of all the estate-owned residential properties. Liaising with the Property team to ensure all properties meet required standards and plans are delivered.
* Lead and deliver capital development projects, including budgets and coordinating internal teams.
* Oversee the operations of the Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant, supporting the AD Manager.
* Liaise with external contractors, consultants, utility providers, and regulatory bodies as required.
* Undertake proactive management and assessments of health and safety standards across the estate
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure costs for ongoing projects are in line with current targets.
Requirements
* A full UK Driving license
* Proof of UK right to work
* Demonstrate experience and exposure in the agricultural industry
* Show excellent communication skills, building a strong relationship with all team members to achieve high-level results
* Be able to adapt to different situations, with high attention to detail and organisational skills
* Solid understanding of health and safety legislation, estate compliance and environmental regulations.
* Experience and knowledge with an AD plant is preferred, but not essential.
* Be respectful, reliable, and calm under pressure, ready to help move the business forward
* Good IT & Data skills
* A qualification in real estate, property management, business administration or agricultural management is useful but is not essential.
