Overview
CMS UK is seeking a Knowledge Counsel - Real Estate (3-5PQE) for the Regions. The role is based in the regions and involves collaboration with the Real Estate Transactions, Legal Project Management and Legal Tech/Automation teams. The firm is focused on innovation and enabling efficient processes through technology, including AI-enabled tools.
About the Role
You will be part of the Real Estate Knowledge Counsel team and will contribute to using legal knowledge and experience to optimize transactional processes. A key focus will be on leveraging the firm’s innovation tools (including AI and other legal tech) to improve efficiency within the Real Estate Transactions team.
The role includes all aspects of the Real Estate Knowledge Counsel position, with emphasis on innovation and the use of technology to make processes more user-friendly and effective on transactions.
* Answering questions from the Real Estate Transactions team.
* Working on the Standard documents.
* Updating the team on legal developments.
* Delivery of training for the team.
In addition, you will collaborate with the LOPM and Legal Tech/Automation teams to utilize technology to support the Real Estate Transactions team.

About You
We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals from day one. To be considered, you must meet the following skills and experience:
* Qualified Real Estate Lawyer – 3-5 years PQE with in-depth knowledge of Real Estate practice.
* Experience with legal tech and AI tools relevant to the market (e.g., Harvey, Orbital Copilot, knowledge systems, service delivery tools).
* Keen interest in innovation and technology with an ability to understand basic coding/programming concepts and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
* Proactive, well-organised and able to distill advice clearly for the firm and fee earners.
* Keen market awareness with understanding of client drivers and legislative impact.
* Ability to see the bigger picture while focusing on key details.
* Excellent communicator, presenter, and trainer, with the ability to create accessible content for any audience.
