Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a reputable housing association, who are looking to appoint a District Heating Manager on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in Yorkshire, with hybrid working and a salary of £54,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within a mechanically biased Building Services role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Creating the future strategy to deliver the organisations vision for cost effective and sustainable heating across heat networks
* Liaising with consultants to secure the necessary funding to execute the agreed strategy
* Providing technical expertise, leadership and guidance to the organisation in relation to the district heating systems
* Overseeing the technical specification, contract management, and delivery of optimisation works, obtaining third-party verification
* Reviewing the sustainability credentials of district heating systems, together with any proposed changes to the system
* Managing all associated funding bids, with support from contractor/consultants
* Taking ownership of a system-wide options appraisal report that has been set-up to review all sustainable and cost-effective options
* Managing tendering of contracts to third parties
Experience & Skills required:
* Operational experience working on district heating systems
* Degree-qualified Chartered Engineer, HNC/HND or equivalent
* Proven track record of problem solving and fault finding
* Strong knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety
Working hours:
* 35 hours per week
* Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
