The Opportunity
Due to a planned retirement, they are seeking a talentedFresh Produce Agronomistto join their Management Team, based inWarwickshire/Worcestershire. This is a unique chance to work at all levels of a diverse field vegetable crop production business, overseeing crops from seed to harvest and supporting overseas agronomy teams.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct field walking and crop protection recommendations for Salad Onions, Legumes, Asparagus, and Pumpkins using IPM/ICM principles to minimize pesticide use.
* Coordinate sprayer operators and manage chemical orders.
* Maintain detailed farm management records and software.
* Develop base fertiliser recommendations and implement soil testing programs.
* Update PPPLs and pesticide lists, ensuring compliance with UK and customer requirements.
* Lead farm audits, including LEAF and Red Tractor certifications.
* Advise on legislative changes and product approvals.
* Represent the business on technical committees and liaise with industry bodies.
* Drive innovation through trials on active ingredients and non-chemical weed, pest, and disease control methods.
* Support the farm team in achieving biodiversity and regenerative farming goals.
Skills and Experience
* BASIS and FACTS qualifications are essential.
* Experience in field vegetable production is preferred.
* Proficiency in farm management systems like Gate Keeper or Muddy Boots.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, providing an excellent internal service.
Working Hours
Typically Monday to Friday, but flexibility is essential to meet the demands of the role.
