Overview
Homebased Transportation Operations Specialist at Vantive. The role involves overseeing transport operations in the UK and Ireland (final mile distribution and home deliveries) and leading transport and logistics projects to improve cost efficiency, sustainability goals, and process improvements in compliance with pharma regulations. The role provides cover for the Transport Operations Lead in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, lead and support transport/logistics solutions and projects from start to finish within the EMEA region, aligned with the company’s growth strategies
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Finance, Quality, 3PLs) for operational delivery and project coordination within transport/logistics
* Support operational management of 3PL activities (e.g., MBRs/QBRs, day-to-day operation escalations)
* Ensure transport service providers adhere to agreed quality standards
* Serve as the main point of contact for Vantive UKI day-to-day transport operations, including managing enquiries and complaints with 3PLs
* Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous

Experience
* Proven experience in project management

* Extensive operational experience in Supply Chain, mainly Transport and Distribution
* Experience operating in a highly regulated industry (preferably pharmaceutical/healthcare)
* Proven experience managing 3rd party logistics suppliers
* Proven track record driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Experience executing budget plans and objectives within transport operations
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio) and ERP systems (JD Edwards advantageous)
* IT knowledge supportive of the role
* Knowledge of languages other than English is advantageous
* Knowledge of transport regulations, safety procedures and GDP/GMP best practices
