Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is representing a world-leading professional services firm seeking an Assistant General Counsel for their In-House Legal Team. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lawyer with expertise in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The role involves providing practical, business-focused legal advice to global business and corporate services partners.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide legal support on various legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
* Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related issues; support daily commercial and regulatory legal matters.
* Manage compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions and within network policies.
* Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal expertise.
* Develop and implement governance, policies, procedures, and playbooks.
* Review and advise on new services and solutions, focusing on legal and regulatory issues.
* Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions, ensuring cost-effective and efficient work.
* Deliver practical advice while managing risk and compliance.
* Present on legal topics and write articles.
* Mentor and support junior team members.
About You:
* UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent outside the UK) with significant experience at a major law firm or in-house.
* Proven expertise in leading complex legal and regulatory matters.
* Strong risk management and strategic thinking skills.
* Experience negotiating and drafting agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Capable of balancing legal risk with business needs in a fast-growing global environment.
* Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
