Overview
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer/ SDET to join a growing engineering team, focusing on automated API testing within a modern, cloud-based environment. This role will suit someone with strong hands-on experience in API testing, ideally using Golang, and familiarity with tools such as Insomnia or Postman.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs
* Build and maintain scalable API test frameworks (preferably in Golang)
* Perform functional, integration and regression testing across services
* Validate APIs against OpenAPI / Swagger specifications
* Work closely with developers to ensure high-quality, testable code
* Analyse test results, identify defects and support resolution
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in API testing (REST, integration testing)
* Programming experience in Golang or Python (or willingness to work in Go)
* Experience with API testing tools such as Insomnia (preferred) or Postman
* Understanding of OpenAPI / Swagger specifications
* Experience working with databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
* Knowledge of networking concepts and firewalls
* Familiarity with version control and CI/CD environments
