Mechanical Engineers – Life Science & Healthcare

We're working with a leading Cambridge-based technology consultancy that is expanding its Mechanical Engineering capability across Life Science and Healthcare.
This opportunity offers the chance to work on a broad range of technically challenging and commercially impactful projects, from early-stage concept development through to product realisation and manufacture.
The Role
You will contribute to the design and development of innovative products across areas such as:
* Drug delivery devices (injectables, inhalation, combination products)
* Diagnostics and laboratory instrumentation
* Surgical and minimally invasive devices
* Complex electromechanical systems
Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
* Concept generation, detailed design, and system architecture development
* Engineering analysis, prototyping, and technical problem solving
* Design for manufacture and transfer to production
* Working within regulated environments (e.g. ISO 13485)
* Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams (electronics, software, science)
* Engaging with clients and contributing to technical direction
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience in product development within medtech, life science, or a similarly regulated industry
* Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing processes
* Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or similar
* Understanding of design controls and risk management processes is beneficial
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location
Cambridge-based, with on-site collaboration expected.
