Applications are invited for the post of Community Learning Disability Team Lead in the Learning Disability Additional Support Team (AST) based at the Red Lodge, Larbert. This band 7 position is a part‑time permanent post of 30 hours per week and is intended for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
Responsibilities
* Lead the community‑based Crisis and part‑forensic service – the Additional Support Team – ensuring delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based care to people with Learning Disabilities who present in crisis.
* Provide visible and accessible leadership, drive change and deliver operational performance in line with national standards.
* Work in partnership to promote care planning, risk management and safeguarding for people with Learning Disabilities who may offend, enabling inclusion, choice, independence and the exercise of rights within legal frameworks.
* Carry a caseload across forensic and crisis specialities within the Additional Support Team.
Qualifications
* Registered as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) – essential.
* Knowledge of policy trends and legislation within learning disabilities health and social care.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
* Evidence of experience and/or professional development in leadership and collaborative working.
* Experience in forensic issues and crisis intervention considered advantageous.
From 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. A corresponding increase in hourly rate will offset the change, so pay will not be affected.
