About the Role TXM Recruit are proud to be supporting our client, a leading operator in the passenger transport sector, in the search for an experienced and proactive Assistant Driver Manager based at Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a fast-paced and varied role, supporting the Driver Manager with recruitment, compliance, performance management, and the day-to-day running of driver operations. Youll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of transport services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding Manage the full recruitment process from advertising roles and shortlisting candidates to arranging interviews and onboarding new starters. Conduct reference and right-to-work checks. Ensure all inductions are completed and properly documented. Employee Relations & HR Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and grievances. Maintain accurate employee records using Natural HR. Oversee absence management, including return-to-work interviews and disciplinaries. Learning & Development Support the coordination and tracking of CPC, induction, and other driver training programmes. Maintain training records and assist with performance appraisals. Traffic Office & Operational Oversight Supervise the traffic office and driver supervisory team. Oversee daily allocations, punctuality, and lost mileage. Monitor network performance and ensure service standards are met. Ensure thorough electronic handover reporting between shifts. Compliance & KPI Delivery Conduct and monitor the following daily checks: Random drug and alcohol testing Driving licence and CPC compliance checks Gate checks (run-out and run-back) Service monitoring and depot punctuality Ensure operational KPIs are achieved and recorded accurately. What Were Looking For Solid understanding of British Domestic Hours Rules and Working Time Regulations. Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email). Experience using Omni-das, Trapeze, or Ticketer systems (advantageous). Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. Flexible approach to working hours and operational demands.
