Walsall College are currently looking to recruit a Careers Advisor to join our Student Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to students at all stages of their journey across the College’s campuses and delivery models.

You will provide impartial and professional careers guidance through a range of methods including 1:1 appointments, group sessions, workshops and digital platforms.

Working closely with curriculum teams, universities, employers and external agencies, you will support students to make informed progression decisions and achieve positive education and employment outcomes.

You will support curriculum delivery through careers-related activities, events and lesson planning, contribute to college-wide initiatives such as HE fairs and open events, and assist students with UCAS applications and higher education pathways.

The role also involves developing employer links, using labour market information, gathering customer feedback and contributing to service improvement and quality assurance processes.

Ideally, you will have significant experience working in a careers guidance environment within Further Education or a similar setting. You will be highly motivated, creative and student-focused, with a strong understanding of CEIAG statutory requirements, UCAS processes and current issues affecting young people and adults.

You must hold Level 4 qualification in Careers Guidance (or equivalent experience) and be willing to work towards Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development.
