What You’ll Do as a Graduate Teaching Assistant English
As a Graduate English Academic Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic progress and love of English.
* Delivering tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions in English Language and Literature.
* Supporting students with analytical writing, reading comprehension, and exam preparation.
* Assisting classroom teachers with lesson planning and delivery.
* Monitoring student progress and helping to create targeted learning strategies.
* Promoting a love of literature, strong communication skills, and critical thinking.
What We’re Looking For Graduate Teaching Assistant English
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant English with the following:
* A degree 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, English Language, or a closely related subject from a top university.
* A genuine passion for education and the English curriculum.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to build rapport with students and support them in reaching their potential.
* Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
