Our top Oil & Gas client is looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Basingstoke.
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Safety Engineer, who will be required to work on a permanent basis in Basingstoke.
Role Purpose:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Safety to act as part of the Safety and Environment team across projects, potentially acting as the Project Discipline Leader on individual projects. You will be advising projects on HSE regulatory compliance.
Job Role Responsibilities:
1. Production of project safety and environmental deliverables (HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, ToR’s for Safety workshops, waste management plans, etc.).
2. Attending safety workshops (HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL).
3. Safety action management and sign-off.
4. Liaising with clients and external stakeholders.
5. Acting as Project Discipline Lead (PDL) for projects, ensuring deliverables support the project schedule.
6. Providing technical support on HSE matters to other disciplines.
7. Technical review of contractor documentation.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
* Demonstrable experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule.
* UK regulatory knowledge.
* Experience of working to IFC and World Bank standards.
* Demonstrable experience in safety/environmental engineering.
* Strong HSE knowledge.
* Ability to prepare high-quality HSE engineering documentation.
* Ability to critically review others' work.
* Experience in site surveys.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience working within multinational FEED projects.
* Team player willing to develop and learn new skills, and share knowledge with others.
* 12 days per month work from home.
* 20 days holiday.
