The Direct Works Team is part of the housing strategy & assets team and delivers the responsive repairs and voids service to council housing service assets. The responsive repairs and voids service is responsible for maintaining approx. 5500 properties within Wiltshire, mainly in the south of the county.
As a Planner, you will plan and coordinate responsively, and schedule works to maximise resource efficiency to ensure our targets are met. You will schedule repairs for vacant properties to minimise rent loss, liaise with external contractors and book customer appointments, ensuring they are informed of any changes. As part of the role, you will allocate and monitor appointment slots, communicate with staff and manage operatives’ diaries, as well as ordering materials and negotiating with suppliers.
We are looking for a candidate with strong skills in data interpretation, decision-making, meeting deadlines and prioritising workloads. Proficiency in various IT packages, including Microsoft, is essential.
