Overview We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our mortgage team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and coordinating various tasks. This position requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A positive, confident and enthusiastic approach with strong customer service skills (both over the telephone and face to face ) are essential to this role.
Duties
Deal with customers by telephone giving updates of their mortgage application and ensuring all paperwork is in place.
Liase with mortgage providers getting updates on the progress of various mortgage applications.
Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, and events, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring confidentiality where necessary.
Provide support to Mortgage Advisors by handling inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Implement office procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
Experience
Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this role.
Experience with office management software is advantageous but not required.
