We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or Level 3) to join a supportive SEN department in Great Barr, Great Barr. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities * Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups * Assist the SENCO and teaching staff in delivering personalised learning plans * Support pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs * Implement strategies to support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation * Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs * Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to review meetings * Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) * Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, or learning difficulties) * A calm, patient and nurturing approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures * The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents We Offer: * A welcoming and supportive SEN department * Ongoing professional development opportunities * A collaborative and inclusive school community * The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in pupils’ lives * Competitive salary in line with qualifications and experience If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are looking to join a committed and caring team in Great Barr, we would love to hear from you
