About This Role
Are you passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive beyond the school day? We are seeking a caring, organised and enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Co‑ordinator to lead the day‑to‑day running of our wrap‑around provision at John Rankin Infant and Nursery School. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children aged 3‑11 years through high‑quality care, enrichment and play opportunities in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
You will lead the provision by planning and delivering engaging activities that support children’s social, emotional and developmental needs, while ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care. You will also coordinate the daily organisation of the provision, support and direct colleagues, and build strong relationships with children, families and school staff.
Location: Garford Crescent, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 6EX
Contract: Permanent, Part‑time (16.25 hrs per week)
Salary: £10,692.00 Annually (Actual) – Grade 5 SCP 12‑17 Term Time Only plus 3 INSET days.

Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working with school‑aged children, including nursery‑aged children.
* Positive, caring and patient approach.
* Ability to lead engaging and age‑appropriate activities.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confidence managing behaviour positively and sensitively.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Essential Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification such as NVQ/CACHE Level 3 or equivalent.
Desirable qualification(s): Paediatric first aid qualification.
