Overview
Role involving picking and selecting quality products for online customer orders, providing substitutions when items are out of stock, and supporting home delivery operations. The role includes handling customer queries, processing orders, loading vans, and delivering a high level of customer service in a fast-paced store environment.
Responsibilities
* Pick and select the best quality products for online orders, providing brilliant substitutions when items are out of stock
* Use a handheld device to plan routes, determine what to select, and manage time to complete each shop
* Handle behind-the-scenes tasks, including answering customer queries, processing orders, and helping to load vans for Home Delivery Drivers
* Be ready to serve customers, answer questions, and proactively offer help
* Build strong product knowledge, services, and promotions to make informed recommendations
* Work flexibly across the store as required
* Adapt to early morning starts (many shifts start at 4am) and thrive in a fast-paced, physical and high-energy environment, often working alone but also as part of a team
* Be friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
* Use initiative to solve problems and take responsibility for tasks in a fast-paced setting
* Be prepared to work flexibly and to a high standard across the store; you will be trained in a variety of skills to learn, develop, and try new things
* Be comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology and move shopping containers up to 15 kg
* Maintain great attention to detail, keeping the store clean and clutter-free to create the best shopping experience
