Consultant in Frailty and Geriatrics

The post holder will be a part of our team, ensuring that the highest standards of care, in accordance with the National Service Framework for Frailty and Geriatric Medicine and relevant NICE guidance, are provided to patients.
We are seeking a consultant in Frailty to be a robust part of our emergency department and frailty assessment unit alongside our other consultants. This will lead to an acute frailty service, in addition to a new Acute Physician led AMU model. As part of this, HCOOP referral will be changed from an age criterion to a frailty one.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for dynamic and motivated Elderly Care Consultants to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. The successful candidates will join other substantive Consultants in providing the highest quality care possible for older patients in Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet.

Skills & Experience
* Experience in Frailty and Emergency Department Pathways
Qualifications & Training
* Full GMC Registration
* On the Specialist Register or within 6 months of achieving
* Higher Degree (MD/PhD or equivalent) in Geriatric Medicine
Clinical Governance
* Experience in Audit
* Experience in service improvement
