Job Overview
As a Data Designer, you will be an integral member of the Data Change delivery team, working closely with various business units and IT departments. Your role involves creating data solution designs that are developed iteratively within an Agile framework, representing business and data requirements for both small and large data platform changes, ensuring alignment with architecture and design principles.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Analysts and Architects to deliver detailed low-level designs based on business needs.
2. Ensure designs align with application architecture, high-level designs, and company standards.
3. Analyze data sets to identify key attributes and modeling logic, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
4. Develop and update Physical Data Models (PDMS) and participate in design reviews.
5. Lead handover sessions to developers and testers, estimating effort for design documentation.
6. Support Business Analysts with technical and business knowledge, engaging in the full data development lifecycle within an Agile framework.
Requirements:
* Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence, including ETL design and physical data models.
* Proficiency in Data Warehousing Design Methodologies (e.g., Kimball) and Data Modelling tools (e.g., ER Studio).
* Strong data analysis skills, with hands-on SQL/Python experience.
* Knowledge of Cloud data solutions (e.g., Azure, Databricks) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica).
* Ability to understand and translate business processes into technical designs, with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
