Job Purpose:
To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, in the outpatient setting ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Assisting the Outpatient team in the provision of exemplary patient care
2. Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
3. Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person
4. Assisting with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies
Who we're looking for
5. Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
7. NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential
8. Experience in the following: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations
Working Hours: 37.5 hrs per week. Combination of early and late shifts and long days
