Legal Secretary
Our client, a highly regarded regional law firm, is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary / Legal Support Assistant to join its Employment & Immigration team on a 14-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is a key support role, working closely with fee earners across the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of matters, billing and administration. The firm is known for its inclusive culture, strong leadership and genuine commitment to work-life balance.
The role
* Providing proactive legal and administrative support to solicitors and partners
* Opening and closing matters on the case management system
* Managing billing processes and handling accounts queries
* Diary management, including tribunal dates and key deadlines
* Producing high-quality correspondence, documents and bundles
* Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems
* Handling calls, emails and client communications professionally
* Assisting with drafting, proofreading and document preparation
About you
* Previous experience in a legal secretary role (advantageous) – alternatively, in a PA/Secretarial role within a professional services environment
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Confident with MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and digital dictation
* Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
* Comfortable supporting multiple fee earners and meeting deadlines
* Employment or immigration experience is helpful but not essential
