Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Auxiliary Systems Location: Glasgow Job Type: Contract Primary Industry: Marine and Shipbuilding Secondary Industry: Engineering Job Duties: Design and develop auxiliary systems for mechanical equipment Conduct feasibility studies and analyse data to support design decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Create detailed technical drawings and documentation Perform testing and troubleshooting of auxiliary systems Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation process Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Professional Engineering certification Proven experience in designing and developing mechanical systems Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience with auxiliary systems in the engineering field Knowledge of industry regulations and standards Working Conditions: The role involves working in an office and on-site 2 days per week.
