What Will You Do?
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Account Management
* Fully accountable for net and retail sales forecasting for the retailers; Boots, SpaceNK, Look Fantastic, John Lewis & Brown Thomas. Ensuring all financial deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner.
* Lead the development and execution of bespoke commercial Joint Business Plans (JBPs) for all retailers, including promotional activities, launches, and campaign tracking
* Establish, Nurture and maintain collaborative relationships with retailer accounts.
* Own forecasting, budgeting, and P&L accountability for your accounts, ensuring ambitious yet achievable targets are met.
* Identify and unlock new opportunities for category growth and retail expansion.
* Stay on top of competitor activity, market trends, and consumer behavior to feed into team discussions
Retailer Partnerships
* Build deep, collaborative relationships with retail stakeholders to secure visibility and space, for all retail partners, across all touchpoints, stores, web, app, mobile, social.
* Robust Planning to ensure New Launch and Planning to deliver sell-in and out goals.
* Lead flawless execution of new product launches, seasonal activations, and campaign rollouts in partnership with marketing and PR & comms teams.
* Partner with retailers to secure premium placement, marketing support, and enhanced digital visibility (where relevant).
Data-Led Decision Making
* Analyse weekly and monthly sell-in/sell-out data, stock levels, and market trends to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
* Support forecasting processes by consolidating data, identifying trends, and coordinating with the Head of sales and supply chain
* Track ROI of trade investments and marketing activations, using learnings to optimise future plans.
* Provide key reporting and insights to internal stakeholders, helping drive strategic account decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational excellence
* Collaborate closely with Marketing, PR & Comms, Education, Field, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure seamless delivery and execution.
* Champion internal alignment across functions to support customer requirements and deliver operational excellence.
* Work with Head of Sales and Marketing to align accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines, and proactive inventory and assortment management.
* Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure alignment with account-specific needs and strategies.
* Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and strategy sessions internally and externally.
* Passionate leader, adept at coaching junior team members within the team and brand.
The Perfect Candidate:
* 5+ years Proven experience in an account management / business development or experience within Beauty as a buyer working for a leading retailer.
* Deep understanding of the luxury beauty landscape and ability to turn insights into sales-driving recommendations for the business, Boots, SpaceNK or Look Fantastic experience advantageous.
* Experience in full P&L accountability
* Proven track record of negotiating JBPs while upholding brand standards, delivering outstanding business results and exceeding targets
* Highly analytical with a strategic mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
* Entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Excel expertise is essential). Soft Excel skills e.g. Pivot tables, Lookup & Logical formulas, conditional formatting, chart & table formatting) is essential.
* Flexible and easily switching priorities according to needs and business evolution
* Proven success in managing a number of projects to tight deadlines
* Highly organized and able to demonstrate strategic thinking
* Confident working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
* Willingness to travel => in and outside of London if required.
