Location: Leek, Ornua Foods, Sunnyhills road, Leek.
Salary: Generous salary available depending on experience.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday - 22:00 to 06:00am (Fixed Night Shifts).

Ornua is actively seeking a Night Shift Co-ordinator to join our Production Team as we continue our growth trajectory.
The Night Shift Co-ordinator will play a key role in;
1. Shift Preparation & Support
2. Welcome employees on-site 30 minutes before shift start.
3. Liaise with Zone Leaders regarding absences and team updates.
4. Coordinate agency staff: check availability, place orders, and confirm attendance.
5. Work collaboratively with Zone Leaders to fill absenteeism at start of shift
6. Create and maintain daily and weekly staff plans and agency schedules.
7. Operational Administration
8. Manage employee and agency hours for payroll.
9. Collect and report shift figures for Finance.
10. Check and sign off holiday requests.
11. Print compliance paperwork for production lines.
12. Order tools and supplies as needed.
13. Management and adherence to RTW compliance
14. Create staffing plans based on planning requirements for the following week
15. Training & Development
16. Create and complete training slips and adhere to site compliance for agency staff.
17. Update the skills matrix based on training and performance.
18. Support team appraisals and development tracking.
19. Communication & Events
20. Liaise between Zone Leaders, Shift Manager, and agency contacts.
21. Plan and coordinate organised events and team appraisals.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Shift Co-Ordinator – role is highly valuable because it acts as a critical operational and administrative link between frontline teams, agency staff, Zone Leaders, and the Shift Manager. To coordinate and support shift operations by assisting Zone Leaders, managing agency and employee logistics, and ensuring smooth administrative and compliance processes are adhered too.
What You Bring To The Role:
Experience & Knowledge
30. Proven experience in shift coordination or team support roles.
31. Familiarity with agency staffing processes and systems.
32. Understanding of payroll, holiday tracking, and compliance documentation.
33. Knowledge of production environments and operational workflows.
Skills
34. Strong organisational skills – able to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities.
35. Effective communication – liaising confidently with Zone Leaders, Shift Manager, agency contacts, and team members.
36. Attention to detail – accurate record-keeping for payroll, finance figures, holiday approvals, and training documentation.
37. Problem-solving – proactive in resolving staffing issues, absences, and operational challenges.
38. IT proficiency – comfortable using systems for payroll, planning, compliance, and training records, ability to use Microsoft office and powerpoints.
