Responsibilities: We lead our Digital Delivery Software Development and Quality Assurance technical capability. We provide technical leadership, direction, and inspiration to software developers and software quality assurance engineers. We focus on delivering value across our digital services. We assist the principal developer with team organisation, motivation, and assessment. We support recruitment, development, and performance management of team members. We manage the definition and implementation of our departmental technical development and test strategy. We drive our digital plans across all customer-facing services. We act as Technical Lead for high-value initiatives, driving development and test standards and continuous improvement through Scrum. We use industry best practice and our knowledge to make policy decisions on technical tool selection. We create a culture that proactively manages technical debt through continual software improvement. We lead technical teams in problem solving and technical optioneering, supporting sound technical recommendations. We work closely with Delivery Leads and Lead Developer management to ensure the right technical expertise is in place across Digital Services. We own and manage our resource requirement pipeline against skillsets.
