The RoleYou will deliver engaging creative writing sessions, working with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their confidence, communication skills, and creative expression while supporting them in achieving their long-term goals and aspirations.As a Creative Writing Tutor, you will create a supportive and inspiring learning environment, ensuring that individual learning plans are in place and that appropriate guidance and encouragement are provided throughout the programme. You will deliver high-quality, inclusive sessions that motivate learners, nurture creativity, and help individuals realise their potential through writing.What are we looking for?Level 3 English qualification or equivalentStrong experience in creative writing, literature, publishing, or a related fieldExperience delivering teaching, tutoring, workshops, or trainingA teaching or assessing qualification is desirableAbility to use a wide range of engaging and inclusive teaching methodsPassion for supporting learners from diverse backgrounds to build confidence and skills through creative expressionIf you do not currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we can support you in achieving the appropriate qualifications and assessments as part of your probationary period.This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.For full details of the role and person specification, please review the job description.
