At SCP Infrastructure & Design, an RSK Group company, we’re on the lookout for an ambitious Civil Engineer with a passion for Infrastructure Design (incl. highways and drainage and active travel) to join our growing team. Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 + 8% Employer Pension Contribution
Hours: 35-hour working week
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)

What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Leading on drawing production with precision, consistency, and excellence
2. Delivering technical guidance in your core specialism to inspire and support others
3. Planning and managing project resources, flexing to meet client deadlines
4. Reviewing and improving outputs from your peers to ensure top-tier quality
5. Creating efficient, rationalised calculations and designs to modern standards
6. Monitoring regulatory and design changes, and championing best practice across teams
What We’re Looking For
You’re a skilled and confident engineer with a background in infrastructure design, ready to take ownership of complex projects. You’ll bring:
7. Proven experience across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, and industrial
8. Strong technical report-writing skills (e.g., Drainage Strategy Reports, Flood Risk Assessments, O&M Manuals)
9. A proactive mindset with the confidence to lead without needing direction
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
11. Solid software and Microsoft Office proficiency
12. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
