The Opportunity: A postdoctoral molecular epidemiologist/data scientist post is available to analyse epigenetic data from the UKRI MRC-funded PREterm Neurodevelopment and COGnition study (PRENCOG) and the Theirworld Edinburgh Birth Cohort (TEBC). These studies aim to develop an understanding of how preterm birth affects the brain by studying children born preterm and term comparators. The post-holder will analyse DNA methylation, quantitative MRI and phenotypic data from two neonatal cohorts enriched for preterm birth. This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
