Overview
The team are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate for the role of Student Recruitment Assistant. Working as part of our established and friendly UK student recruitment team you will support activities promoting the University and higher education to prospective students, across the UK.
Responsibilities
* You will attend school and college careers events, deliver talks and presentations and represent the university at larger higher education exhibitions across the country, travelling individually and on occasions with colleagues or student ambassadors.
* You will be confident communicating with a variety of audiences on the UK higher education system and the benefits of studying at Lancaster.
* The role will also involve administrative and project-based work supporting the day-to-day operation of the UK student recruitment team.
* Please note, this role will require, throughout certain times of the year, periods of travel around the UK attending events; working outside office hours and working occasional weekends.
* The role is an exciting first step in a career in student recruitment and higher education. The role holder will expect to work a minimum of 2 days a week from our Lancaster campus, though flexible arrangements may be considered. The role is offered on a blended work schedule with both on-campus and home working.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Graduate status and enthusiasm for student recruitment and higher education.
* Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences and represent the university professionally.
* Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours, including some evenings and weekends.
* Enhanced DBS/DBS with barred list check is required as part of the recruitment process.
