Job Description
The Accounts Payable Assistant's responsibilities:
3. Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
4. Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accuracy.
5. Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments.
6. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
7. Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
8. Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting.
9. Communicate with suppliers to address queries and payment concerns.
10. Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
11. Previous experience within an accounting & finance role, particularly in accounts payable.
12. A strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
14. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
15. The ability to handle queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
16. A positive attitude towards teamwork and deadlines.
