NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post are - rotational, we are currently working long days from 07.00 am to 19.30pm. Our night duty starts at 19.00 until 07.30am. This is under review due to the reduced working week. You will provide a service to Renfrewshire Mental Health Inpatient Wards, which are currently based across three sites Dykebar Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital & Leverndale Hospital. Your base will initially be in one of these sites, though you may be required to rotate to another site in due course. Applicants must be able to work in any of the three sites. You will provide care to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including care for adults and older adults as part of the multidisciplinary team. You should have knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health illnesses This post also requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland checks. You will carry out assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care in support of and in accordance with, the standards of care set by the Senior Charge Nurse/Nurse in Charge of the ward. You should have relevant experience of caring for people within a health care environment.
