Position: Operations Manager
Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Main Purpose:
Reporting to the Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, including resource allocation, and maintaining high standards in health, safety, and delivery.
Main Duties:
1. Manage daily operational requirements.
2. Allocate resources to traffic management tasks/activities.
3. Ensure strict adherence to processes, prioritizing health & safety.
4. Attend and chair management/supervisor meetings.
5. Report on KPIs related to company growth and performance.
6. Manage annual leave for all operatives.
7. Oversee operational supply chain including procurement of goods/services.
8. Collaborate with the Contracts Department to ensure efficient and safe activity within budget.
9. Work with clients to ensure delivery of services to high standards.
10. Monitor and control fleet operations daily in coordination with the transport department.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
* Full driving license.
* Willingness to travel as required.
* Ability to make reactive decisions quickly.
* Strong leadership skills managing a team of 50+ operatives.
* Minimum 4+ years of experience in the traffic management industry.
* Professional and coherent communication in meetings.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Discretion handling sensitive information.
* High attention to detail.
* Customer service skills.
* Conflict management and resolution skills.
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with high client demands.
