Neway International are seeking Senior Social Workers / Specialist Social Workers to join our client based with Bromley Council’s MASH Team.
Location: Churchill Court, Bromley
Hours: 36 per week
Contract: Temporary – Initially for a 3 month contract that will be extended.
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Rate: PAYE £29.38 per hour / Ltd/Umbrella £39.65 per hour
Important Requirements
* Minimum 18 months’ experience working within a MASH team.
* Ability to work in the office 3 days per week.
* Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
About the Client
This role sits within Bromley Council’s Children, Education & Families directorate, supporting the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The team is responsible for screening, triaging, and assessing safeguarding concerns for children and families, ensuring timely and effective decision-making in partnership with multi-agency professionals.
The Role
The Senior Social Worker / Specialist Social Worker will work within the Children & Families MASH Team, providing high-quality safeguarding assessments and decision-making in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment. You will be responsible for analysing information from partner agencies, assessing risk, and determining appropriate next steps to safeguard children. This is a specialist role requiring strong analytical skills, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to work confidently within a multi-disciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Screening and triaging referrals received into the MASH.
* Analysing multi-agency information to assess risk and determine next steps.
* Applying thresholds for intervention in line with statutory guidance.
* Providing clear, evidence-based recommendations to support safeguarding decisions.
* Liaising with partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services.
* Ensuring timely and accurate recording of all decision-making.
* Contributing to the delivery of a high-performing MASH service.
