Role Summary:
You will support the Pension Administration business by managing outstanding debts efficiently, optimizing cash flow, and maintaining strong client relationships. This is a hybrid, 6-month contract position based in Chichester, working both from the office and remotely.
Responsibilities:
1. Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely collection of overdue debts.
2. Communicate with clients about outstanding balances, set up payment plans, and provide excellent customer service.
3. Collaborate with the offshore team in India to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
4. Maintain accurate records of communications and payments, and report on debt status to management.
5. Review and set credit limits for clients.
6. Support the finance team in achieving cash flow targets and optimizing working capital.
7. Establish efficient credit control processes.
Requirements:
* Experience in credit control, preferably in financial services or pension administration.
* Strong communication skills, capable of handling sensitive conversations professionally.
* Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and credit control systems.
* Full or part-qualification from the Institute of Credit Management is preferred.
* Familiarity with pension administration is a plus but not essential.
