We have an ambition to providing safe, nurturing homes for our children in our City and are in the process of developing these new services to enable us to achieve our vision. We are looking for a service manager to shape this new service and provide loving homes for our most vulnerable children where they are able to thrive. This role includes overseeing three children's homes, three post-16 supported accommodation homes, and the 'Homes for Teens' service (supported lodgings).
We are looking for a candidate who shares our passion for creating a culture where both staff and children feel safe, supported and empowered to be the best they can be and meet their potential. The post holder will oversee the registered managers for each home and undertake the role of responsible individual, registered with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across all regulated services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering excellent outcomes for children and young people.
* Act as the Responsible Individual for the three children's homes and post-16 supported accommodation services, maintaining oversight of regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
* Promote a culture where all services provide safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
* Ensure services are aligned with national legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted guidance for post-16 accommodation.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including health, education, and voluntary sector agencies, to deliver integrated support for children and families.
* Champion the voice of children and young people, embedding participation and feedback into service development.

The salary band for this role is £65,222 - £73,83. The
starting salary is £65,222
with annual progression through the salary bands.
