Job Description
As Transport Manager you will ensure the effective operation of the Transport function, drive continuous improvements and further develop integrated transport solutions to deliver a premium and cost effective service. You will produce, agree & manage the Transport budget, accounting for any variances. Take a proactive approach in order to fully engage any new initiatives at the depot, ensuring the integration of projects is successful in line with business needs.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Key Duties of a Transport Manager:
1. Proactively seek optimisation without affecting service.
2. Integration and control of new cross dock clients where applicable.
3. Increased vehicle fleet to include offsite parking.
4. Responsible for the interface between every area of the operation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Direct, motivate and develop team members to equip them with the skills to lead and manage their teams.
