 
        
        Overview
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be one of our specialists in electrical systems across our energy and material recovery facilities. This is a hybrid role with a mix of office and onsite work; you’ll spend around ~40% of your time travelling (average 2‑3 days per week with overnight stays) to provide project and operational support. The position can be based at any suitable location.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver technical expertise in electrical design, HV systems, and I&C within industrial and power‑generating environments.
 * Support project lifecycles—from developing specifications, design reviews, and modelling with tools such as ETAP/Trimble, to hands‑on commissioning and troubleshooting.
 * Drive improvements in operational reliability, compliance, and performance across multiple plants.
 * Act as the go‑to engineer for breakdowns, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
 * A background in electrical engineering within process, power, electrical design or heavy industry.
 * HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering (degree preferred) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
 * Demonstrable experience in an electrical engineering background.
 * Proven engineering experience within a technical role with transferable skills.
 * Experience in electrical design.
 * Good understanding of high‑voltage (11 KV) systems; prior HV authorisation is an advantage.
 * Project management experience.
 * Familiarity with industrial instrumentation & control systems.
 * Hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving skills.
 * Experience with electrical design and system modelling software.
Benefits & Compensation
 * Salary: £48,643 – £50,000 plus car allowance (~£7,864).
 * Bonus: up to 10 % (~£5,000).

 * Total package up to £62,864 at joining.
 * National travel required.
