About Ocushield

Ocushield is building the UK’s leading preventative eye-health brand for a screen-led world.

Founded by practising optometrists, Ocushield started by solving a problem we were seeing every day in clinic: people experiencing eye strain, fatigue and reduced focus earlier and earlier in life — driven by unprecedented screen use at work and at home. That insight led to the development of the world’s first medically-rated blue-light filtering technology, registered with both the MHRA and the FDA as a Class I Medical Device.


Blue light was only the beginning.


Today, Ocushield sits at the intersection of health, performance and modern work. We’re building a preventative eye-health platform that supports how people live and work, from clinically developed blue-light filters to online eye screening and products designed to protect and support visual performance throughout the day.


Our belief is simple: your eyes are your most important tool at work. When eye health suffers, focus drops, energy dips and performance follows. In a world where screen time is only increasing, eye care shouldn’t be reactive; it should be everyday, preventative, and built into modern life.

Alongside our direct-to-consumer business, we work with employers and partners who see eye health as the next frontier of workplace wellbeing and productivity. Our ambition is to make eye care as essential as sleep, nutrition and movement and to lead that category with credibility, clarity and impact.


We’re now looking for a Head of Growth to help scale that mission.


Role overview


We’re looking for a Head of Growth to own and drive profitable growth across Ocushield’s direct-to-consumer business and Amazon. This is a senior, hands-on role with full commercial accountability.

You will own the growth P&L, define and execute the growth strategy, and personally drive performance across acquisition, conversion, retention, and monetisation. This role requires someone who can think strategically but is equally comfortable operating deep in the detail.

This is not a reporting or coordination role. We are looking for someone hungry, proactive, and obsessed with growth.


Core responsibilities


P&L ownership

* Full ownership of revenue growth and profitability across DTC and Amazon.
* Accountability for CAC, contribution margin, and overall channel efficiency
* Build and actively manage forecasts, targets, and growth plans

DTC growth (primary focus)

* Own website performance end-to-end: traffic, conversion, AOV, retention
* Lead paid acquisition across Meta, Google, influencers, and emerging channels
* Identify, test, and scale new acquisition channels and growth loops
* Drive CRO and onsite optimisation through structured testing and insight-led iteration

Amazon growth

* Manage Amazon performance across UK and international marketplaces
* Lead strategy across paid media, listings, pricing, promotions, and operations
* Scale Amazon profitably while maintaining brand integrity and margin discipline

Marketing & channel leadership

* Own the full marketing mix, including paid media, CRO, email/CRM, influencers, and partnerships
* Expand into new channels where there is a clear growth and profitability case
* Work closely with agencies and freelancers while retaining internal ownership and accountability

Content and creative strategy

* Collaborate with content and social media creators on a strategy that drives performance
* Ensure creative is insight-led, test-driven, and commercially effective
* Translate customer insight and performance data into clear creative briefs

Product launches & GTM

* Lead the growth and commercial input into new product launches
* Own go-to-market plans across DTC and Amazon
* Ensure pricing, positioning, and channel strategy are aligned with growth and margin goals

Data, insight, and experimentation

* Build and maintain a rigorous testing culture across channels
* Use data to identify opportunities, diagnose problems, and prioritise action
* Move quickly from insight to execution, with clear learning loops


What we’re looking for


Experience

* Senior growth role in a D2C business, ideally consumer health, wellness, or subscription
* Proven track record of scaling revenue profitably
* Strong experience across both website-led growth and marketplaces (Amazon experience essential)

Mindset

* Growth mindset: curious, hungry, proactive, never waiting to be told
* Commercially sharp, with strong instinct for ROI and trade-offs
* Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership


Skills


* Highly analytical, strong with numbers, dashboards, and performance data
* Able to operate at both strategic and execution level
* Comfortable getting into the weeds: accounts, ads, dashboards
* Strong prioritisation and decision-making under pressure

Ocushield is at a point where incremental optimisation is no longer enough. We need a growth leader who can take real ownership, move fast, and unlock the next phase of scale across channels, products, and markets.
