We are seeking a proactive individual to join our Claims team, ideal for those comfortable in a fast-paced environment with troubleshooting and process improvement skills.
Role: Motor Claims Handler
Location: Sevenoaks (Fully office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm
Salary: Starting at £26,442, up to £33,501 plus a potential £5,000 performance bonus quarterly
Responsibilities:
1. Contact potential claimants promptly, assess needs, and offer our services for repairs, hire, and injuries.
2. Utilize our supplier network effectively, ensuring clear instructions.
3. Identify and refer potentially fraudulent claims.
4. Apply accurate reserving and maintain detailed notes in our system.
5. Communicate effectively with policyholders and claimants.
6. Use diary systems to minimize claims lifecycle and indemnity spend.
7. Assess risks associated with market claims service providers and influence claimants accordingly.
8. Evaluate policy indemnity & liability thoroughly.
9. Identify fraud indicators and apply reserving philosophy.
10. Proficiently use intelligence systems and interrogate expert reports for economical settlements.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in claims or related roles with transferable skills.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Analytical skills for fact-finding and decision-making.
* Initiative and motivation to achieve results.
* Teamwork and customer service skills.
* Proficiency in PC and administrative tasks.
* Cert CII qualification or relevant experience in claims or sales.
