Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled days shift HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid commercial driving licence and have experience with HGV deliveries. As a HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Duties
Drive HGV to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry at all times.Skills
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role.
Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
