Base Location: Lancing, West Sussex (with Hybrid option)
Term: This Apprenticeship is for 18 months with a view to considering permanent roles available in the team on completion.
Salary: £11,648 - £20,748 per annum - There are different rates of pay for apprentices depending on your age and what year of your apprenticeship you’re in. These are in line with National Minimum Wage for Apprentices.
Hours: 35 hours per week (9am-5pm)
Line Management Responsibility: None
A bit about the role
The Insurance Apprentice at Unity plays an entry-level role within a vibrant insurance brokerage specialising in Scouts and charity insurance products. The role supports a wide range of live and upcoming projects, offering exposure to diverse areas of the business as they develop over the coming months. The apprentice will handle new business enquiries from charities, not-for-profit organisations, and commercial clients, while developing strong working relationships with Scouts, charitable bodies, and business partners.
As the first step into an insurance career, this apprenticeship is designed to build professional skills and workplace performance in a modern, industry-focused environment. Learning and assessment are closely aligned with real-world insurance practice, enabling the apprentice to apply knowledge directly to their role while working within insurance and regulatory frameworks.
Throughout the programme, the apprentice will develop transferable skills across the wider financial services industry, supporting long-term career flexibility. On successful completion, they will achieve the CII Certificate in Insurance (Level 3).
