Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity at a Leading Additive Manufacturing Company
Rullion has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a globally leading Additive Manufacturing company based in Worcester. This role offers a chance to introduce innovation into the manufacturing process.
You will collaborate with on-site and global stakeholders to introduce new manufacturing methods and solutions onto the shop floor.
Your profile
* University degree or relevant experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
* Basic understanding of Additive Manufacturing processes and their optimization, focusing on metals
* Keen interest in real-life open-ended problem solving
* Strong communication skills with internal customers and external partners, along with an understanding of strategic technology planning and road-mapping
* Autonomous working, self-initiative, strategic thinking, organizational and coordination skills, and results orientation
* Training in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, TQM, or Lean
* Ability to work as part of an agile, growing team
* Knowledge of metallurgy and metalworking is advantageous
Your responsibilities
* Responsibility for executing development programs
* Define, plan, lead, and execute R&D activities with the technology development team
* Interface with Siemens Energy internal teams on R&D projects
* Report status to project managers and Siemens Energy management
* Drive the implementation of new manufacturing processes and tools
* Ensure quality requirements are met during AM process development for internal and customer needs
* Spearhead the adoption of best practices in AM to ensure reliable and repeatable manufacturing
* Troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions
* Coordinate with other Siemens Energy disciplines such as Sales, Operations, Quality, and Design
